How to learn Anything ?

Ever wondered what makes you keep getting ahead?
Yes, the simplest answer would be learning new things.
We are living in a world where new technologies are emerging rapidly and to catch up we need to grow ourselves with phase. And with cheap data plans, affordable devices there has been an immense expansion of the Internet thus this is the right time to expand your knowledge, to learn that skill that you always wanted to.

Here's How YOU can learn anything from the scratch

First of all, there are different ways in which you can choose to learn something new, you might like to read to get the knowledge or you are more inclined toward a video course/tutorial. Here are some of the ways from my side to get you started.

1. Research
We all know how hard it is to get started, that if you want to learn something the first obvious thing you would do is to search it on Google and that will show you enormous options to go. But you just can't go to any random link and waste your precious time knowing the latter that it was not worth that or you might even get confused from where to start.
Here's how I do it.
Suppose I want to learn Computer Programming, I will not go to google instead I will go to Amazon (or any other e-commerce platform) and try to find out books on Computer Programming. Based on reviews and ratings I will filter out top Books and then I have the names of the authors of the subject expertise and BOOM, now I just need to know about how they had learned that skill in the first place. Thus the Base is to Reverse Engineer things. Once you have found your mentor now just stick to it.

2.Source
Now after finding out the best mentor, it's time to find out sources on which you can rely on throughout your learning journey. And in almost all the cases the mentor/author has already developed his own book/Material which you are recommended to use. Try to find out how the author sees things.

3.Platform
Now it's time to find out a platform for learning. Everyone has a different perspective, most of the people prefer to use video tutorials. Youtube is a great platform for beginners as it's a more practical approach than using written material. You can literally find everything you need to learn on youtube, but the point is that you should have to be passionate enough to learn because it is more likely than you would end up watching funny cat videos(who doesn't love that). So instead of youtube, you can use various learning platforms like Udemy, Coursera, Edx. It's definitely worth it to audit them.

4.Practise
Practicing art is self-explanatory. If you want to master anything you need to practice consistently. There is no other way to become a master in the skill without continuously practicing.

“ I fear not the man who has practiced 10000 kicks one time but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10000 times” - BRUCE LEE

That's all you need to know about learning anything you want to.

Will a Robot take my job?

What if I tell you that the job you have been working on or your dream job that you want to work on with might be automated in the next few decades. There was a time when automation was a means for factory machines to do a repetitive task. But today they can drive a car, land an aircraft and trade stocks. But wait, has not automation been around for decades? What’s different this time? Our past and innovation For the longest time, humans worked in agriculture for a living. With the rise of the Industrial Revolution, this shifted to production jobs and then to the service sector as automation became more widespread. Now only a few moments ago we entered the information age. In the past things were simple. Innovation made human work easier and productivity rose, which means more services could be produced per hour but with less or the same number of people. This eliminated some jobs but also created many other jobs that were better because of the growing population required more

Why are we so attached to our things?

Yesterday when I was checking for something in the closet I found out an old pen (there is an interesting story behind why it is my favorite ) and I know that even I will never use it I can't just throw it out. And it's not just me and you, most everyone experiences some sort of connection to their stuff.  Throughout evolution, humans have developed psychological behavior to form a connection with the things around them. When we personally own something our mind and body form a connection with it and this is what something called an Endowment Effect. You value something more once you own it. For example, you can see that children value their stuff more and are afraid to trade their stuff with any other thing even if they were identical.   Often times we think that our things are a part of ourselves. We believe that they have a unique essence. For example, most people like to wear their same favorite t-shirt or shoes because sub-consciously they belive them as a part of wh
